Computer Software Tips : How to Create a Microsoft Access Field for Hyperlinks

Hi. My name is Dave Andrews. Today, I’m going
to show you how to create a Microsoft Access field for hyperlinks. Let’s open up Microsoft
Access by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, and selecting Access. Let’s open up
a database. I’m going to do Database3 and say open. If you get a security warning, just
click the Open button. Now, find the table in your database. Right click on it, and say
Design View. This opens up the table editor. Let’s add a new table field under my yes/no,
and just call it “Hyper”. And for data type, select the Hyperlink type. Now let’s save
our table and close it. Double click on the table to open it in the Data View. And in
the hyperlink, let’s type in a hyperlink. You can do this for each field. It’s that easy to add a hyperlink field. As
you notice too, when you move your mouse over it, it will click on it. And you can open
up that hyperlink in the browser. My name is Dave Andrews, and I’ve just showed you
how to add a hyperlink field to a Microsoft Access table.
