  1. This music made me feel so good, I felt the same way I felt while listening to medicine especially at the end of the song. The 1975 is my favorite band of all the times and I love everything they do because I know it always have a purpose

  2. Director: How would you describe this music video
Matty: It’s kinda like….’Ready Player One’ on acid, filled with this kind of comforting vibe or feeling, and it makes me feel drowsy yet completely awake and contemplating, really the reason I started taking drugs in the first place….

  3. I think what’s kind of sad is that this whole video describes going offline, away from it all, but really, it’s just another simulation Matty enters which is kind of ironic. It just gives me this cold, melancholic chill.

Maybe it connects to his struggle with addiction somehow, both with drugs and his attachment to the internet temporarily relating and resonating with it….

  4. really reminds me of the californication video by RHCP, even down to the subject a bit but mostly the animation. nice to see it developed some 20 years later

  5. Why can't you change the quality of this video in the YouTube app? It's stuck on 360p and there is no option to change it in the settings.

  6. I think the best word to describe this video is: IRONY… Let's think about it, he wants to do a digital detox and so he goes to a place that it's all virtual with no one really. The first thing that
approaches him is a faceless voice and he gave his phone and goes to a world that it is not real with not real people but just memes. Isn't that ironic!?

  7. This could represent us (everyone) who is wasting his or her time being in a virtual world where we just watch memes instead of being with real people… it could mean that memes became our only friends. Let's be honest, loneliness is a big thing nowadays because we fill it with these things… we distract ourselves from it cause it's just easier to look at our phones instead of being with someone! with a real person! We are substituting human connection with internet…
We became slaves of it without even noticing. And we became despaired for attention. Because we all wanna be that cool person who has 1 million followers and that has a "perfect life". And we don't even notice that we are being fooled… That none of it is real…
