US president donald trump has again up
pressure on NATO members to contribute more to defense spending speaking to UN
Security Council ambassadors at the White House on Thursday Trump said some
countries are not close to the goal of paying two percent of their GDP on
defense stressing that it’s not fair that they get us protection if they
aren’t putting up the money this comes after Trump said during the
NATO summit in London that he’ll make members who spent less than 2% of GDP
pay extra through trade his remarks are adding to uncertainties here in South
Korea given that the US has also been demanding a massive increase in Seoul’s
